Seven OceanS® survival food and water

Compact AS was established in Bergen, Norway in 1948 as a manufacturer of various household articles such as jams and marmalades. In 1953 the first compressed dehydrated food rations were developed for the Norwegian civil defence.

For more than 60 years, Compact’s main goal has been to provide high quality products "For Life”.

As a result of our constant investment in research and development, Compact offers unique recipes and packaging that make our products particularly valuable assets both for the humanitarian and maritime sectors.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO), the UN organisation responsible for improving maritime safety, is in charge of implementing the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) which requires a specific list of emergency equipment to be carried on board each lifeboat and liferaft, including food rations and  drinking water.

Compact for Life has developed, Seven OceanS® Emergency food ration, and Seven OceanS® Emergency drinking water, which comply with the latest SOLAS regulation.
