Maritime gearboxes
Renk gearboxes are covering a power range from 1.500KW up to 22.000KW for Single in/Single out configurations and a power range from 2x 1.500KW up to 2x 35.000KW for Double in/Single out gearboxes. Hence our gearboxes are used in all kinds of commercial vessels (i.e. LNG carriers, passenger ships, ferries, container vessels, icebreaker and all kinds of supply vessels).

Each of our gear units can be designed with several multiple-disc-clutches/ quill shaft configuration or emergency drive mode (PTH-mode) or even with a booster drive mode (PTI-mode).

4-Stroke-Propulsion-Systems:

• RSV – Single in/Single out gearbox with vertical offset shaft centre distances of 500 – 2000 mm
• RSH – Single in/Single out gearbox with horizontal offset shaft centre distances of 500 – 2000 mm
• NDS – Double in/Single out gearbox shaft centre distances of 1800 – 4800 mm

2-Stroke-Propulsion-Systems:

• Tunnel – Step-Up-Gearbox with power range of 500 kW – 10.000 kW and shaft centre distances of 1135 – 2500 mm
• PSC – Power-Shaft-Clutch
